Our Resources

Facilitating Interdisciplinary Collaboration and Scholarship

We serve as a dynamic hub for partners, facilitating foundational research by connecting AI experts, physicians, and students while providing resources for high-risk, high-reward interdisciplinary research. We actively support our members in competing for external grant funding, ensuring their continued success in pushing the boundaries of scientific exploration.

Ensuring Ethical Use of AI and Promoting Equity and Inclusion

A comprehensive ethical framework is being developed for AI research and development, with guidelines on transparency, fairness, accountability, and privacy. Biases in algorithms and datasets are being identified and mitigated to ensure fairness. Collaboration with various experts, stakeholders, and the Dartmouth community is being emphasized for ethical decision-making and feedback. Efforts are also being made to enhance digital literacy and support underrepresented groups in the field through education, training, and recruitment.

Building AI-Ready Infrastructure

In collaboration with Research Computing, DH IT Department, and the DC/DH Data Governance Committee, our aim is to scale GPU-enabled computing, ensure data privacy and security, and make the infrastructure accessible to all Dartmouth investigators.

Education

We provide mentorship, research opportunities, courses, lectures, seminars and symposiums to undergraduate students, graduate and postdoctoral trainees, medical education and residency programs, and faculty and staff.

Translation and Clinical Impact

We collaborate with DH Clinical Trials Office and DH clinical departments to support the validation of AI models for clinical translation and regulatory clearance, and to disseminate technologies to improve the quality and efficiency of clinical practice.

Intellectual Property and Commercialization

We collaborate with Magnuson Center for Entrepreneurship, Technology Transfer Office, and Innovation Accelerators for Cancer and Digital Health to protect the intellectual property rights of the developed AI-based methods and tools, facilitate entrepreneurship, and commercialization efforts to maximize the impact of technologies developed within the Center.

Community Engagement

We engage with the Dartmouth community to share the Center's activities and updates, and to provide opportunities for community members to interact with and learn from national and international leaders in the field of AI and Precision Health through the Center's events.

Recruitment

We facilitate the recruitment of new faculty and staff with research interests in AI and precision health to foster innovation and enhance Dartmouth’s presence in the field.
